Big Clive, my man! I manage a “fog device” shop, and I implemented a recycle policy where a customer will get a discount if they bring the disposable back to me. I know have probably 20+ of these devices, that I’ve harvested the cells, and since I carry only 3 brands I can easily pair the cells up via mah. My question is how many of these can I run in series, for say a battery bank?

Well I charged it using a phone with a removable battery and a multimeter it went from 0 volts to 3.7v 1 minute every 3-5 minutes and my dog found that vape but it was crushed (not by my dog it's still a pup) it was in a metal enclosure battery is a bit crushed but after some examination it's still safe but for now I'm keeping it at ~3.7v so it's better for the battery instead of letting it sit at 0 volts

Could you help be build the Bob Beck Device circuit? I want to change it to use 18650 batteries instead, and be able to use USB-C power source , have it working with a standard usb-c port or power charging port. And be able to have it plugged in and have the device in use while the batteries are charging up. And be able to use the device with no batteries while being plugged in.
And an extra switch to be able to disable the LEDs to save on power/ less distraction.
Can you please design this for me.
I would like to say could please help me with this circuit, but it wouldn't be helping me... it would be doing it all for me cause i don't know how to do this!

I was charging one at like midnight fell asleep, and then I woke up on fire and half of the skin on my arm, burned off in this video is way WAY too complicated. I’ve been using an 18, 650 battery charger for like two years now and it works flawlessly charges at the perfect power turns off when it’s done and nothing is ever went wrong with it and you can buy one for like 20 bucks instead of doing all this bill Nye shit

I wanna buy one kit for charging those vapes cuz my vapes run out very quickly and all the time I wanna vape they are discharged. So I just found your video which helps me a lot for my vapes and need some of your chargers to charge my disposable vapes. If by any chance you have any chargers to send out. Thanks for this, Clive. I've collected over 60 disposable vapes in my town to retrieve the batteries - I want to make 12 - 18 volt packs out of them, but don't have the knowledge to properly charge them, despite being relatively well versed in electronics...

Hi BigClive. I several times tried to send a questions regarding these boards under a comment that I wrote under this video like a week ago, but it doesn't work for whatever reason.
So here is my question then:
Could it be that these boards get fried if the attached load is too big? Is there a limit to what load can be attached? Because I tried attaching a quite powerful DC motor to them and the two boards that I tried it with didn't work in that configuration, and the led's don't even light up anymore even without anything being attached to them(so I guess they're toast now). And I don't think that exactly those two out of the five that I ordered were faulty ones. I didn't test their functionality beforehand though.
The motor runs fine when I attach it directly to the battery, but it seems that these boards can't handle that configuration.
I unfortunately don't know the specifications of that motor, because there is nothing written on it. I only know that the new battery should be able to handle the load, as it has similar specifications to the one that I want to use as a replacement.

will these boards do more than one batter at a time like say 4 to 5 to make a portable, been wanting to order some cause i got a ton of 18650s laying around from old laptop batteries

I just cut a usb to mini-usb cable and soldered some crocodile clamps to where the mini-usb was, and then I use it together with a 5V-500mah usb wall plug.
I measure the voltage from time to time, so that it doesn't get to more than 4V.
But I just ordered those boards and resistors, to make a few more chargers for my harvested lipo batteries.
By the way, is there an easy way to make those boards only pump out 4V instead of 5V? So that it cuts off when 4V have been reached.

I 'found' some of those smoke makers at the local shop. 2 for £10. The batteries are still the same and yes they are very good. Nice substitute for 18650s from old laptops. Perfect for remote solar powered esp32 projects if you put them into deep sleep with timer wakeup.
