You literally 100% miss understood the song. You bring religion in when the song has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with it. The song is about going through all those challenges and hardships only to end up right where she started. The cycle never ends bro THATS what the song is about.

I think the meaning of the song is up the person.
For me it meant the vicious cycles of war that politicians create and all we can do is sit and watch the terror and do nothing about it.

You really, really need to react to “Cease All Your Fire” by Trivium. It’s not nearly as complex musically, but it has some really deep lyrical content I think you would enjoy breaking down.
